We acquired a controlling interest in this US pre-IPO waste management technology company in 1982.

We profitably grew sales five-fold through the following action:

• Switching from cast iron to high alloy steel for key parts of the system, thereby making the system more reliable.
• Developing better relations with municipal customers by taking a greater interest in ensuring that the systems ran well and improving customer service.

Within 2 years, we effected an IPO on the NASDAQ system.

n 1986, our interest was sold and as part of the price, we acquired a water pump manufacturing operation in France.
